Coalition of Nunavut DEAs

The Coalition of Nunavut District Education Authorities (CNDEA) is committed to supporting District Education Authorities (DEAs) across Nunavut in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Nunavut Education Act. We serve as a collaborative body, offering guidance, resources, and advocacy to enhance educational outcomes for students.

Partnering with parents, educations and local organizations to ensure the voices of Nunavut communities are central to education planning and decision-making.

Ensuring that DEAs are well-equipped to fulfill their duties, including overseeing school operations, managing resources, and supporting student achievement. Monitoring compliance with the Nunavut Education Act and providing assistance in addressing challenges.

CNDEA represents the interests of DEAs at the territorial level, ensuring that education policies and initiatives reflect the needs and priorities of Nunavut communities.

Supporting DEA Office Managers and school staff with training and ongoing support that strengthens local education systems.

Collaborating with DEAs to develop strategic frameworks and templates, such as School Improvement Plans (SIPs), to promote consistency and accountability in school operations.
